Once in a while I read a book that makes me laugh out loud. The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid by Bill Bryson is one of them. It’s about growing up in the 50s and 60s.
I've read a handful of Bryson's travel books and thoroughly enjoyed his writing. I think my favorite is still In A Sunburned Country his rather humorous take on his trip to Australia. His explanation or attempt to understand Cricket was particularly amusing.I might just have to add The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid to "to read" list.
